Pioneer Law Group, LLP has extensive experience representing mining companies and public agencies during all phases of mine development from site selection, entity formation and structure, acquisition, royalty agreements, permitting, NEPA, CEQA, hazardous materials, financing, public land and mining law, administrative hearings and, if needed, litigation.
In California, we have extensive experience working with the California legislature and representing clients before the California State Mining and Geology Board (“SMGB”). We have represented clients in almost every mining jurisdiction in California from Humboldt County to San Diego. Our work includes mines on both public and private land.
Outside of California, we specialize in representing large-scale mining projects that are facing federal administrative and regulatory challenges in both the environmental and regulatory space. We counsel companies on mine acquisition, property acquisition, due diligence, and federal environmental review, including NEPA, ESA, the Federal Mining Act, and other related environmental regulations.
Pioneer also has developed an international mining presence, representing international clients from the United States to Africa. These projects include assisting in mine project development, asset review, legal team formation, and entitlement strategy.
